Singapore (Day 1)

Day 1 in Singapore! My boyfriend and I took a trip to Singapore! It was so wonderful and beautiful! English is the commonly spoken language there (though most people can speak more than one language) so that made things easy for me! It was cool to see all their public signs and announcements were made in two or more languages. Plus, the people living there are very diverse, with lots of people having immigrated from China, India, etc. No one seemed to think twice about seeing a white girl and an Asian guy speaking Korean together.

Our first day we went to the Botanical gardens and we spent about 4 hours there and didn't even get through it all! It was huge! And so beautiful! We had lunch at a restaurant next to the orchid gardens which was delicious but expensive.

After that we took a break at our hotel and then went to Long Bar to try the famous Singapore Sling! I wasn't a fan of the original sling, but my boyfriend really liked it. I preferred the 1887 version better. (I think that was what it called.) Everyone gets free peanuts to munch on and you throw the shells right on the ground to be cleaned up later.

After that we went to an outdoor food market for a late night snack and went to the see the helix bridge!
